Southlake Mall Code of Conduct

Southlake Mall is a private property. It is our goal to provide a safe, secure and pleasant environment and to that end Southlake Mall requests your cooperation in complying with the following Rules of Conduct to be followed by all our customers and visitors:
  1. Southlake Mall is for shopping. It is expected that you treat others as you would expect to be treated. Examples of inappropriate behavior include the following: fighting, harassment, offending others or provoking confrontations or disruptive conduct of any kind.
  2. Act responsibly. Please refrain from the following:
    • Shouting, making loud noises or using indecent language.
    • Playing loud music.
    • Defacing, damaging, or destroying any property belonging to Southlake Mall, its patrons or its Tenants.
    • Assembling in a manner that disturbs the public peace.
  3. Please dress appropriately and observe all health codes and local laws. Clothing should not be worn which is obscene or offensive in nature. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas, or 100 feet from the door.
  4. Observe all Federal, State and Local Laws. Use of alcoholic beverages is restricted to designated areas, which are generally posted as such. During regular school hours, excluding lunch breaks, unaccompanied minors will be asked to leave Southlake Mall.
  5. It is important that the customers, visitors and tenants of Southlake Mall be able to shop safely and comfortably. To that end:
    • Do not block access to store entrances, Southlake Mall entrances, or corridor or parking areas.
    • Walk. Don’t run, skate or skateboard.
    • Use our benches and chairs for sitting only.
    • Do not bring animals and/or pets into Southlake Mall except for registered aid animals, such as Service Dogs.
    • NOTE: Weapons of any type, in view or otherwise, are not permitted at Southlake Mall.
    • All customers and visitors consent to a reasonable search for weapons of any type at any time while at Southlake Mall.
  6. Please visit the Management Office to request permission to take photos, videos or to make audio tapes of or on Southlake Mall, including photos or videos of store fronts. Without prior, written permission from Southlake Mall Management, no such activity is permitted.
  7. The distribution of literature, solicitation, demonstrations, and special promotions or using the Property for any purpose other than shopping is prohibited without prior written permission from Southlake Mall. If you have any questions, please visit the Management Office for more information.
  8. When Southlake Mall and stores are closed you are required to leave. Please do not park or loiter on the property after mall closing. Unauthorized vehicles parked overnight may be towed at the Owner’s expense.
Please follow these Rules of Conduct. If you do not, we will ask you to leave. You may also be subject to prosecution for violation of applicable laws or ordinances. Youth Supervision Policy

Southlake Mall’s Youth Supervision Policy (YSP) is established to ensure that all our guests enjoy a safe, pleasant, and family friendly shopping environment. All visitors age 17 and under must be accompanied at all times by a parent or supervising adult age 21 or older on Fridays and Saturdays after 4 pm. We encourage persons age 17 and under to enjoy the mall with a parent or supervising adult on Friday and Saturday evenings.
GUESTS:
  • Guests age 17 and under are required to be accompanied by and remain with a parent or adult age 21 or older at all times after 4 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.*
  • Unsupervised youth age 17 and under shopping prior to 4 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings must leave the mall by 4 pm or be joined with a parent or supervising adult age 21 or older.
  • Proof of age will be required for the youth and supervising adult. Those who fail to produce proper identification will be asked to leave the property.
  • Proper identification includes a state issued driver’s license or ID card, a passport, or a military The identification must include a photograph, date of birth and be tamper proof.
  • One adult may accompany up to 6 youths. The supervising adult must remain with the youths at all times.
  • Supervising adults are responsible for the actions of the youth they accompany and must ensure they are following the mall’s Code of Conduct.
EMPLOYEES:
Mall employees 17 and under may continue to work within their store during Youth Supervision Policy Hours. Persons 17 and under must adhere to the Youth Supervision Policy if their shift ends during policy hours. Employees of the mall must be prepared to show valid ID and proof of employment.
WAITING AREA:
A Pickup & Waiting Area is located in front of the Hobart Police Sub-station on the Lower Level mall entrance near JCPenney and H&M. *YSP dates and times are subject to change by Mall Management.
